19. Travelling

Dear conversationalists,

This year, in order to talk about "Travelling" we are going to start by dealing with a different way of travelling: dark tourism, or visiting places connected with history, tragedy, or past events. In this video, the speaker begins with a surprising visit to a cemetery in Buenos Aires and explains how this experience changed her idea of tourism. It shows that travelling is not only about relaxation or entertainment. Many people travel to learn about the past. Shows and live performance have always played an important role in culture and social life.
